The Question of Where

Portrait locations are the artistic backdrop of your personalized portrait experience. When selecting your backdrop, consider both nature and architecture as well as the clothes you’ve selected for the shoot. This will showcase your personality and mood.

Not every location suits every individual. Reflecting on your interests and vibe will allow you to relax into your shoot.

Are you athletic? Consider incorporating your sport into the shoot, like a baseball field or tennis court.

Are you into fashion? Consider incorporating a downtown area with artisan shops.

Are you outdoorsy? Consider canoeing, a campfire, or even a tent.

Are you a reader? Consider bringing a few books and taking a few coffeeshop photos.

Are you artistic? Consider action shots of your palette and easel as you work on a project.

The options are limitless, but you should select a location where you feel comfortable to be yourself. To get you started, these are a few location suggestions…

THE PORCH

The Porch is my private natural-light photography studio located in the north Ormond Beach area. It offers a quiet, open-air space designed around beautiful light. The Porch combines soft, flattering light with layered textures, vintage furnishings, and the warmth of a natural environment.

Because The Porch is private, sessions have an easy, unhurried quality. It offers the control of a studio with a little more personality.
