Frequently Asked Questions

What is your turn-around time on images?

A huge priority with running my business is a quick turn-around time.  This is why I get you your downloadable sneak peek within one week.  This is the process...

  • The PIctures are taken at the Wedding or Engagement Session

  • Sneak Peek (within one week) - highlight images

  • The following weeks you will keep seeing images pop into your gallery - all are available for immediate download and use.

  • The final images are ready within 6 weeks.  Usually 3 weeks for engagement portraits.

  • Should you need any images in high resolution format (for thank you notes or need to print anything), simply let me know and I can get that to you ASAP.  Otherwise, your high resolution images will be sent on a flash drive.

  • All of my collections include a letter of permission for unlimited personal use of all digital images.

Will you be the one shooting our wedding?

Absolutely!  I am the lead shooter for every wedding commission.

Who do you hire as your second shooter?

For those of you choosing to add a second shooter to your collection, rest assured, you are in good hands.

My second shooters are not only stellar photographers, they are also lovely individuals.  I am super picky with who I allow represent my brand and capture your wedding day.

These are individuals who are colleagues and friends, people who I hire and use myself.   If you want more details about your chosen professional, simply ask.  Because they are busy professionals, themselves, I rotate through a small group for availability purposes.

How many images will I receive?

Engagement portraits usually include 50+ images.

for weddings (a 6-8+ hour wedding), you will receive at least 400 images.  However, it is usually closer to 700+.  I am a big fan of quality first, but quantity when possible.  Why wouldn't you want more of a fabulous thing?

How do you describe your style?

Natural - Elegant - Editorial

I strive to understand your personal style, as a couple.  Capturing your personality and chemistry are essential to my workflow.  Nothing forced or uncomfortable.

I work hard for the best angles, light, and even style details for the optimal cohesive collection. FOR EACH COUPLE, I SHOOT AS IF COMMISSIONED BY A WEDDING MAGAZINE.

There will be a lovely mixture of details, portraiture, and candid images.  Your collection will tell a story, in the prettiest way possible.

Do we have the copyright to all the images?

This is something often misunderstood between photographers and clients.

Working with me, you will have full permission for any kind of personal use of the images.  You may print and share away!

I, however, retain copyright.  Copyright means that person has full ownership of the image, use to sell and alter however they wish.

The only instance someone would need copyright would be in a commercial setting.  That person or company wishes to profit from the use of the images.

If you have signed an image usage agreement with your planner, venue, or any other professional, I am happy to be generous with my sharing.

I promise to be very respectful of your privacy and treat your wedding images with dignity.

How long have you been a photographer?

I started Debra Eby Photography Co. in October of 2010.

Majoring in communications, in 2004, I have a passion for telling stories - this just happens to be my medium.

Do you have insurance?

ABSOLUTELY!  I CAN SEND THAT PAPERWORK TO YOUR VENUE OR PLANNER UPON REQUEST.

What happens in an emergency?

Should something life-threatening happen to my immediate family, or me, I have a very stellar network of colleagues who help each other out in such a situation.

I have never had to call on anyone for this, but you can rest assured that your day will be handled with the utmost professionalism even if something earth shattering occurs.
