Chris + Melanie - Wedding

Raindrops fell on my window pane.  Trickling rain turned into a downpour as I popped my floral umbrella, loading my camera equipment in my car.  I whispered a prayer.

The rain still threatened as we drove to the ceremony, wipers furiously gliding.  She arrived at the ceremony, the rain stilled.  As the string quartet serenaded, she glided down the aisle, with sunshine beaming through stain glass windows.

This is the kind of bride who brings sunshine of every kind.  No wonder her groom is completely smitten.

Chris and Melanie are a dream couple.  The kind of couple that everyone wants to be on their wedding day.  She is kind and sophisticated, he is debonair and gentlemanly.  The two together create sparks, the kind where they forget about themselves and care only about each other.

I found myself tearing up at different points in the day and muttering to myself, "pull yourself together, you photographer!"  Every detail was so moving, so personal.  While I know my time with Chris and Melanie has been a mere few months, I feel like I've known them a lifetime.

Here's to the romance of fairy tales being brought to real life.

  1. You are off to a great start to your wedding season. Love the one of the groom holding the bride and kissing her, and the one of them walking down the grass path and looking at each other.
