For most, it represents vacation. For some, it's just another spot on the map. For me, it's home.
No other place on earth calms an inspires me more than this. The sea.
Waves crashing, caressing the shoreline. Sand sifting through toes. Warm breezes tussling hair. Sunshine glowing on skin. Salt air stirring the senses.
This is the location of my bliss.
Someday I will return. For now, visiting makes me appreciate it that much more.
Christmas Cards of Yore
This was my family Christmas Card image, oh, just a few years ago. We attempted to make a snowman out of sand. Instead, we ended up with the Ghost-of-Christmas-Portrait-Gone-Wrong.
You know what though, I'm so grateful for the risk, and for the memory. In the end, images are all about preserving emotions, those fleeting moments. No matter how much the expose the real you.

Ron + Amanda - Engagement
When Ron and Amanda approached me to do an engagement session with their corvette, I may have swooned a little.
See, here's the thing. I know nothing about cars. I know enough to drive one...that's it. Isn't that what CAA and husband's are for? However, I do get smitten by a hot sports car. I mean, c'mon, I'm only human.
We had fun trying to find a creative location in Wellesley...but, we found the perfect place. This gorgeous ride had to be showcased in just the right place.
Oh, right, Ron and Amanda. They were great too. For real, they are such a fun couple! I loved all the laughter and fun that we enjoyed during this shoot. Such a beautiful mixture of friendship and romance in their relationship. It was an honor photographing that love.
All the best on your journey ahead, so exciting to see where life leads you!

Debra Eby - Lifestyle Portrait
Sometimes being the one taking pictures means that I'm the "invisible mom". I want to ensure my children have plenty of memories of their mother. I've been working on self portraits, but those certainly have limitations.
So, the amazing talented, Lisa Kwan {of Lisa Kwan Images} and I set up a portrait swap. Lisa has been such an inspiration to me in the industry. I had such a blast working with her!
We shot uptown and in a field, love the variety that offered. The first images were taken in Coffee Culture, Uptown Waterloo. I adore the atmosphere of a coffee house. I really love that these images reflect my interests and personality.
Thank you, Lisa! I will treasure these...even if I felt a little awkward being on the other side of the camera. {smile}

Chris + Melanie - Engagement
How many couples can say the skies showered them with shooting stars the night of their first date?
Then, how many guys can say their date was too distracted by their great conversation to remember much of the stars falling from the sky?
I know, sounds impossible. True story. This is the couple I have the honor of featuring today.
Chris and Melanie requested the location of their first date, the night of shooting stars, on Columbia Lake. I adore using locations that hold significant meaning.
I was also thrilled to use the Brubacher House Museum as a part of our session as well. The stonework and white terraces were just beautiful. Special thanks for Mark and Allison for their hospitality.
Now, get ready, these two are going to just melt you...and just might remind you of a certain royal couple. I can't wait to capture their beautiful wedding day this summer!

Baby K - Newborn Photography
This little one will steal your heart in a millisecond. His gentle nature, warm cuddles, and sweet smile just melt you to the core. This is my nephew. Of course I'm not biased. {smile}
A trip to Florida was well worth it for the opportunity to meet this precious one. This auntie has all the loves for you, sweetie.
